A LCV (Light commercial Vehicle) test takes around 40 minutes.
A HGV ( Heavy Commerical Vehicle) test takes around 1-1.5 hours.
Typically , payment is made when you present the vehicle for test.
We take major credit / debit cards and cash.
Vehicles need to tested within 21 days / 4000km of original test. We recommend getting any remedial work done for your test done as promptly as possible as this time / distance limit can creep up fast.
No, it does not. This is why it is important to get the retest done as quickly as possible, because you run the risk of a full test again if you present for retest with only a couple of days left and the repairs have not rectified the issue.
It depends, if it is just a visual inspection ( eg tyres or a brake light bulb) then that is free of charge. If it is a mechanical retest that requires use of equipment ( eg, smoke test, headlamp alignment, parking brake performance) then there is a charge for this.
We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to commencement of the test, this enables vehicle handover and paperwork to be completed.
No, you do not need to bring this with you.
Whoever presents the vehicle for test needs to present a valid for of ID, eg Driving Licence, passport or public services card.
